Mission
HATCH at the Schoolhouse brings female and trans artists to bucolic southern New Hampshire to begin development on a new piece of theatre.
We believe in:
-
Innovative methodologies for art making and the importance of unencumbered exploration
-
Feeding artistic process through connection to the natural world, concentrated time and space, and conversations with artistic collaborators in a piece’s early stages
-
The Harrisville community (and community of artists at the schoolhouse) as a powerful resource
What you provide:
-
The seedling of an idea for a piece. (This could be text or movement driven, aiming to result in a script or physical score, and can consist of any kind of authorship—group, playwright, found text for performance, non-verbal).
-
A key collaborator you would like to bring with you
-
A commitment to an informal sharing at the end of the week
-
An openness to being in a collaborative, communal environment
-
What we provide (for all participating artists):
-
