NELL BANG-JENSEN is a Philadelphia-based theater artist, writer, and educator. She is currently Associate Artistic Director of Pig Iron Theatre Company and has worked as a director, actor, and dramaturg for The Wilma Theater, Applied Mechanics, Hedgerow Theatre, Luna Theater, Plays & Players, and InterAct Theatre Company, among others. For three years she served as Artistic Associate for The Wilma Theater during the creation of the Hothouse Company. Nell is an Adjunct Professor at The University of the Arts and a graduate of Swarthmore College. Since 2010, she has co-created and performed in three full-scale, original works (Makeshift/Looks Like Everyone Has Left/Road May Flood) and was awarded a 2011-2012 Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for independent study and travel in seven countries. Nell is a participant in the Leadership U: One-on-One program, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group. Upcoming directing projects include The Real Whisper (Polyphone Festival) and Practice Wedding, an original work commissioned by the Painted Bride.
MIRIAM WHITE is a Philadelphia based actor, educator and producer. Recent theatre credits: We are Proud to Present...(InterAct), Cinderella (Arden), Lysistrata Project (Simpatico), Brighton Beach Memoirs (Old Globe, u/s/performed), Elliot, a Soldier’s Fugue (Ion Theatre, San Diego Critic Circle Award Nomination), Peaches En Regalia, Restaurant Shorts (PPP) Wildflower (PlayPenn and the Lark), House of Spirits (PlayPenn), Have a Nice Life (Edinburgh Fringe, NY Fringe and NPTC.) For five years she served as Co-Artistic Director and Founder of Nice People Theatre Company. Miriam graduated from Washington University with a BA in theatre and received her master’s in Non Profit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
REBECCA WRIGHT is a director-creator based in Philadelphia, and the artistic director of Applied Mechanics, with whom she has created ten immersive performance pieces. Recent credits include At Home With the Humorless Bastard with Annie Wilson at FringeArts, Kafka’s The Metamorphosis and Shaw’s St. Joan with Quintessence Theater Group, Sarah Flood in Salem Mass at The Flea, Sophie Gets the Horns with The Riot Group, and FEED and We Are Bandits with Applied Mechanics. Rebecca has worked with students at the University of Michigan, the University of the Arts, Temple University, Arcadia University, Swarthmore College, the University of Minnesota, and Columbia University, where she created and directed Joan of Arc: Voices in the Fire with MFA students and Kristin Linklater.
